When Martha and I want to eat breakfast out, we always head to Marende, located at 5 de Mayo 15 in Chipilo, Puebla. Marende is one of two started by Celia Stefanoni Montagner and Maricruz Stefanoni Montagner, two sisters. The restaurants are housed in the same building on Chipilo’s main street. Cuore (“heart” in Veneto) is run by Maricruz and serves lunch and dinner. The sisters have put an Italian twist on some traditional Mexican dishes.
